Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Managing Engineer (Network Application Delivery) with extensive hands-on expertise in F5 technologies and Infoblox DDI platforms. This role requires engineering experience, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives, guide engineering standards, and manage a team responsible for critical network and application delivery services. The position blends deep technical proficiency with leadership responsibilities to ensure performance, reliability, and operational excellence across the enterprise.

This role operates within a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment. The Managing Engineer must be comfortable balancing technical leadership, team management, and partnership with cross-functional teams to support enterprise-wide platforms and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of network and application delivery engineers, providing direction, mentorship, and performance guidance.

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of F5 application delivery services, including load balancing, traffic management, SSL offloading, and performance tuning.

  • Manage and administer Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platforms, ensuring scalable, resilient, and secure DDI services.

  • Provide technical leadership during major incidents, directing troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution activities.

  • Partner with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to maintain compliant, secure, and high-performing network architectures.

  • Guide the development and maintenance of configuration standards, documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and operational processes.

  • Lead lifecycle management efforts including upgrades, patches, capacity planning, and platform modernization.

  • Drive initiatives related to modernization, cloud integrations, automation, and service improvements.

  • Participate in or lead an on-call rotation and support critical incident response.

Essential Qualifications

  • 7 years or more of experience in network engineering or network application delivery roles, including team leadership responsibilities. (Or Equivalent)

  • 2 years or more of global delivery management experience. (Or Equivalent)

  • Experienced with F5 technologies (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM, iRules).

  • Strong expertise in Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) administration and architecture.

  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, firewalls, NAT policies, and end-to-end traffic flows.

  • Experience using network monitoring, diagnostic, and performance analysis tools.

  • Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible, or similar).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical efforts and collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams.

  • Experience influencing architectural direction and technology standards for enterprise networking, application delivery, and DNS/DDI platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and costeffective technical solutions.

  • Ability to prioritize initiatives, manage technical debt, and balance shortterm delivery needs with longterm platform strategy.

  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence, consistency, and best practices across teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Cloud networking experience within AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Experience with SDN technologies, cloud load balancing, or hybrid network architectures.

  • Relevant certifications such as F5 CA/CTS or Infoblox NIOS.

  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 120,000.00 - 193,725.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
