The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Job title: IT Agentic Engineer/Architect (Senior Manager)
Locations: Dallas, TX - San Fransico, CA - New York, NY

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary technologist to join our newly formed IT Agentic Engineering team in a unique hybrid Engineer/Architect role. You will be at the forefront of transforming how Salesforce's IT organization operates - designing and building the enterprise-scale, AI-powered infrastructure that connects our systems, tools, and data into a unified, intelligent Data360 environment. If you thrive at the intersection of cloud architecture, AI automation, and developer tooling, and want to shape the future of a proactive, agentic IT organization, this role is for you.

Your Impact - Responsibilities

In this role, you won't just be maintaining systems - you'll be reimagining how a world-class IT organization operates at scale. Your work will directly enable thousands of Salesforce employees to work smarter and faster by building the intelligent, agentic infrastructure that powers our internal IT ecosystem. From designing AI-driven automations to architecting unified data environments, the systems you build will reduce manual toil, increase operational resilience, and position Salesforce IT as a model for the agentic enterprise. This is a rare opportunity to leave a lasting architectural footprint at one of the world's leading technology companies.

  • Lead the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-system infrastructure that unifies disparate IT systems into a cohesive, intelligent platform.
  • Architect and build a unified Data360 environment by integrating device management tooling, system logs, large datasets, and enterprise applications.
  • Design and deploy proactive Agentic workflows and automations using Agentforce, enabling IT to shift from reactive to predictive operations.
  • Develop robust automations and backend services in Python, Swift, and Go, deployed across platforms including MuleSoft and AWS.
  • Integrate with enterprise IT systems via REST/SOAP APIs (e.g., Jamf, FleetDM, Intune, Zscaler) to create seamless, end-to-end data flows.
  • Architect and implement serverless infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate) in collaboration with IT and Endpoint Engineering teams.
  • Build Slack-native AI experiences - including intelligent Slack agents, automated workflow surfaces, and AI-powered integrations using the Slack Platform.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AI/ML technologies and their practical application in enterprise automation and agentic systems.
  • Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-scale API Gateways, event-driven architectures, and serverless infrastructure.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce products including Data Cloud, the Agentforce product family, and the Salesforce Platform.
  • Expert-level proficiency with REST and SOAP APIs and their integration into complex, large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Deep experience in cloud-native development on AWS, including strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce products including Data Cloud, the Agentforce product family, and the Salesforce Platform.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable rapid, high-quality software delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in scripting languages including BASH, ZSH, PowerShell, and Python for automation and system administration.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft for enterprise system connectivity.
  • Demonstrated experience building Slack applications, bots, or workflow automations on the Slack Platform.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools such as Jamf, Intune, or FleetDM.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise IT environment with a strong security and compliance mindset.
