Job description
Job Title: Business Analyst Job Location: Tallahassee, FL Job Duration: 1 year contract Qualifications and Experience:
- Some experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and documentation;
- Five years of experience Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio. These are the primary tools used within the Division for documentation;
- Five years of experience with meeting facilitation and documentation;
- Four years of experience implementing, integrating with or maintaining MicroPact's Versa Online and/or Versa Regulation products;
- Five years of experience with creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports suitable for presentation to the management team;
- Five years of experience with leading meetings and determining work tasks that need to be completed;
- Six years of experience with delivering the project in the agreed schedule, to the correct technical specification (i.e. defined to meet user requirements) within the approved budget or other specified criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff as assigned by the Department.
- Develop documentation as assigned by the Department (i.e. diagrams, flow charts, requirements document).
- Perform needs analysis, analyze business processes, develop process maps, and assist project managers in all phases of the projects as assigned by the Department.
- Develop test cases and test plans, and conduct user acceptance testing as assigned by the Department.
- Perform testing on system changes to meet user?defined requirements as assigned by the Department.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff as assigned by the Department.
- Facilitate meetings with technical and program staff as assigned by the Department (i.e. scheduling meetings, document decisions, identify issues and action items).
- Produce status reports on the implementation of user?defined requirements as assigned by the Department.
- Produce detailed accounting of hours worked by tasks as assigned by the Department.
- Follow IT processes and coordinate with other IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards.
- Correspond (verbally and in written formats) with project teams, internal stakeholders regarding project activities, deliverables, and status as assigned by the Department.
- Actively participate in project status meetings as assigned by the Department.
- The Contractor shall coordinate efforts with the Contract Manager to achieve cost savings under this agreement, where feasible and practicable, as assigned by the Department. Those efforts include, but are not limited to, identifying common system errors in systems that can be resolved in a manner that achieves cost savings in the State of Florida. Any cost savings identified must be documented included as part of the monthly status report. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff as assigned by the Department.
