Regional Cyber Center - National Guard (RCC-NG) Liaison Officer (LNO)

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Regional Cyber Center - National Guard (RCC-NG) Liaison Officer (LNO) to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary coordination point between RCCNG and ARNG/SOC/NOC/enterprise stakeholders for regional cyber and network security operations.
• Communicate tasking orders, vulnerability notices, CDAP/CHAP activities, and mission priorities; consolidate responses, status, and constraints from supported organizations.
• Participate in planning, coordination, and execution of exercises, assessments, and incident response activities at the regional level.
• Provide regular situational awareness updates, maintain communication channels and battle rhythms, and facilitate multiorganization issue resolution.
• Capture and contribute lessons learned, afteraction findings, and communications/sharing plans to support continuous improvement.
• Track actions, coordinate followups, and maintain issue/action trackers and decision records to support regional operational accountability.
• Liaise with NETCOM, ARCYBER, SOC/CIRT, state cyber staffs, and external partners to ensure synchronized regional responses and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.

• Candidate must meet ONE of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR
  • Relevant DoD/military training (examples: Cyber 101; IT Project Manager (Advanced) Playlist); OR
  • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: RCCE Level 1; CCISO; CCSP; CISA; CISM; CISSP; CISSPISSEP; CISSPISSMP; DAWIA PM Advanced; FITSPA; FITSPM; GFACT; GSLC).

• Required experience and skills:

  • Experience in cyber operations, liaison, or coordination roles supporting SOC/CIRT, RCC, CCMD, or multistakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical cyber findings into operational messaging and to coordinate multiorganization responses during incidents and assessments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills; experience maintaining battle rhythms, contact rosters, and escalation channels.
  • Proficiency producing situational awareness products, coordination summaries, and action trackers for leadership consumption.

• Desired:

  • Prior RCCNG, state/Territory cyber staff, NETCOM, or ARCYBER liaison experience.
  • Experience supporting regional exercises, CDAP/CHAP activities, and multijurisdiction incident coordination.
  • Familiarity with DoD reporting formats, crossdomain communication protocols, and regional operational constraints.
