Responsibilities

Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a highly organized PMO Support Specialist to provide project coordination, resource management, and administrative support to a Program Management Office (PMO) for the Department of Energy. This role focuses on workforce coordination, reporting, and day-to-day administrative operations to ensure efficient program execution and compliance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Management Support

    Assist in tracking and managing program resources, including staff allocations, onboarding/offboarding, and availability.
  • Maintain resource plans, staffing rosters, and organizational charts.
  • Coordinate with project managers and functional leads to monitor resource utilization and capacity.
  • Support timesheet tracking, labor reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain personnel records in accordance with contract and organizational requirements.

Administrative & PMO Operations

  • Prepare, format, and maintain program documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including account requests, access tracking, and orientation scheduling.
  • Support procurement and equipment tracking for program staff.
  • Maintain document repositories, ensuring organization, accuracy, and version control.
  • Track and follow up on action items, deliverables, and internal deadlines.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Compile and generate recurring reports (e.g., staffing reports, status updates, leadership briefings).
  • Support data collection and validation for program reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal and external meetings, reviews, and audits.
  • Serve as a coordination point between PMO leadership, project teams, and administrative functions (HR, finance, IT).

Compliance & Process Support

  • Ensure administrative and resource management activities align with contract requirements and agency policies.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist in implementing and improving PMO administrative processes and workflows.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience maintaining trackers, spreadsheets, and reporting data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with resource management or workforce planning tools.
  • Familiarity with government contracting structure and process.
  • Experience with reporting or dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI).

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
