Job Description

Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As a Senior Trial Attorney, you'll play a key role handling Bodily Injury (BI) focused litigation, through fast paced trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and collaborate closely with legal and claims partners. Stay ahead of the game by monitoring new laws and regulations that impact BI litigation, ensuring our defense strategies remain sharp and effective. Key Responsibilities

  • Representsinsured individuals and the Company in the defense of bodily injury, including highexposure and complex BI matters.
  • Manages all phases of BI litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Prepares and presents pleadings, motions, and pretrial and posttrial submissions related to bodily injury claims.
  • Conducts depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, fact witnesses, and experts; prepares witnesses for testimony.
  • Coordinates litigation activity and scheduling with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and internal partners across Palm Beach County and surrounding counties.
  • Evaluates liability, damages, and injury exposure; provides strategic recommendations on settlement, mediation, and trial posture.
  • Provides daytoday legal advice and guidance to claims partners and business stakeholders on BI case strategy and risk.
  • Collaborates with legal colleagues to manage caseloads, resolve calendar conflicts, and ensure effective case progression.
  • Monitors developments in bodily injury law and litigation trends; provides guidance on legal and regulatory impacts to the business.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.

MinimumRequirements

  • 4+ years of litigation experience with a strong emphasis on bodily injury or insurance defense matters.
  • First or second chair jury trial experience in BI cases is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience handling auto liability and bodily injury claims from inception through resolution.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and electronic filing systems.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with attorneys, paralegals, claims professionals, and administrative staff.
  • Ability to manage a substantial BI caseload in a fastpaced litigation environment.
  • Must be within a commutable distance to courts throughout Palm Beach County and surrounding counties such as Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, including neighboring jurisdictions as needed.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 90,700.00 - 153,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
