Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in administration; or High School Diploma/GED and four (4) additional years of related experience.
    • Six (6) years progressively responsible office support experience, to include experience in managerial functions, department accounting procedures, and special project/program coordinator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists the Department Director or Council Appointed Official (City Attorney, City Auditor) in many aspects of daily City operations.
  • Provides direct assistance to Department Director or Council Appointed Official as required on diverse matters related to the effective operation of municipal government.
  • Interacts with a variety of groups and individuals in the coordination, planning and implementation of administrative activities, projects, issues, conflict resolution and events, including City Department Directors or Council Appointed Officials, City employees, the Mayor, City Council, contractors, civic organizations, business owners, governmental agencies, media representatives, developers and the public.
  • Confers with or disseminates to City personnel concerning the development, implementation and maintenance of citywide operating procedures and policies. Coordinates intra- and inter-departmental communications, i.e., managerial directives, and dissemination of municipal/department policy and procedure, meeting agendas, etc.
  • Participates in the formulation and implementation of City policy, directives and regulations.
