We are currently seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative to support our busy medical office and ensure a seamless experience for our patients. Key Responsibilities * Welcome and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression * Register new patients and accurately enter demographics into the EMR system * Schedule appointments across multiple providers and specialties * Verify insurance eligibility, collect copays, and resolve billing-related questions * Gather and document insurance and billing information as needed * Manage inbound calls from patients, providers, and external offices * Support check-in and check-out processes to maintain efficient patient flow Required Skills & Experience * Expert-level experience in Patient Access or Patient Registration * Strong knowledge of patient demographics and medical terminology * Hands-on experience with EMR systems, including Epic * Experience with insurance verification, copay collection, and basic billing support * Excellent communication skills with a professional and compassionate approach Preferred Qualifications * Background in Patient Access, Front Desk, or Medical Office Administration * Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment * Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Why Hartford HealthCare? * Work for one of the top healthcare systems in Connecticut * Stable weekday schedule with no weekends * Supportive team environment and opportunity for long-term growth * Make a direct impact on patient experience every day Location: Connecticut Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday Apply today and take the next step in your healthcare career with Hartford HealthCare.
