In order to be considered for this position candidate must be serving permanently in the title of Telecommunications Associate (Data), or must have taken, passed, and be reachable on the Open Competitive civil service list for Telecommunications Associate (Data), Exam # 3061. Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in data telecommunications/ networking or in a pertinent scientific, technical, electronic or related area and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in the performance of analytical, planning, operational, technical, and/or administrative duties in a data telecommunications or closely-related electronics planning, electronics management, and/or electronics service environment; or Preferred Skills
-Preference will be given to candidates who appear on one or more of the following: Network Associate, Cisco Call Management/Contact Center Administration, Data Center Technical Support, FCC Licensing Administration, Incident Management, Intelligent Transportation Systems, LAN/WAN Network Engineering, Network Design, Telecommunications Mobile Device Management, Telephony Integration Systems Administration, and Wireless Data Network Operations. - 2 years min experience in Cisco VOIP system installation and maintenance. Large-scale office environment. -2 years of experience working with Network IP cameras and switches. -2 years of experience working with RTPI and Wayfinding legacy equipment. -Familiar with E-Z tag reader installations and maintenance for use on roadways. -Ability to troubleshoot Copper and Pots lines. -2 years of experience lacing in large capacity rack systems. -Ability to wire and test Cat6 cables. 55a Program
