Position Overview

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst supports the Implementation Team by validating system configurations and ensuring high-quality, accurate delivery of client implementations. This role focuses on testing and quality review of Zelis platform outputs, including print and electronic communications, to ensure alignment with client requirements and production standards.

Working closely with Implementation, Product, and IT-as well as partnering with the India-based QA team-this role plays a key part in delivering consistent, high-quality implementation outcomes. The QA Analyst will review data outputs, validate integrations and file processing results, and identify issues related to data accuracy, formatting, and system behavior.

This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established QA processes, and a foundational understanding of how data flows through systems and impacts client deliverables.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute quality assurance testing for client implementations, including validation of system configurations, output files, and client-facing materials (e.g., Explanation of Benefits, letters, payments, ID cards).

  • Perform detailed reviews of outputs across both paper and electronic formats to ensure accuracy, formatting, and compliance with client requirements and Zelis standards.

  • Validate that data is accurately processed, transformed, and displayed across systems and outputs.

  • Partner closely with Implementation Project Managers and Specialists to understand client requirements, test scenarios, and expected outcomes.

  • Identify, document, and track defects or discrepancies, including issues related to data quality, formatting, and integration outputs.

  • Utilize tools such as Jira to log, track, and manage QA tasks, defects, and testing progress.

  • Support validation of file-based integrations and data exchanges (e.g., flat files, XML, or similar formats) by reviewing outputs and ensuring alignment with expected results.

  • Follow established QA processes, test plans, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality across implementations.

  • Communicate testing results, issues, and risks clearly to team members and escalate as needed.

  • Prioritize assigned tasks based on implementation timelines, go-live dates, and business priorities.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and company policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate with offshore teams to support a consistent QA process and delivery model.

  • Operates in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent implementation timelines and priorities.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance, testing, or validation role, preferably in a technology or operations environment.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies in data, formatting, and outputs.

  • Ability to follow structured processes and execute test plans in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Experience using tools such as Jira or similar systems to manage tasks and track issues.

  • Basic understanding of how data moves between systems, including file-based data exchanges or integrations.

  • Ability to review and validate data outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly document findings.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across concurrent implementations.

What makes you stand out:

  • Familiarity with data formats such as flat files, XML, or similar structured data.

  • Exposure to data validation, data quality checks, or data transformation concepts.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional or global team environment.

  • Experience working in the healthcare industry or with healthcare data is preferred.

  • Understanding of healthcare communications (e.g., EOBs, ID cards, payment communications) is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Works across cross-functional teams, time zones, and external partners to support implementation delivery.

  • May require coordination outside standard business hours during critical project milestones or go-live events.
