Job Description

*Position is contingent on contract award

We are looking for a hands-on, technically skilled Field Service Representative (FSR) to support the deployment, integration, training, and sustainment of advanced commercial communications and emerging technologies in mission-critical environments.

This is not a traditional FSR role. You willoperateas a hybrid FSR, Technical Advisor, Trainer, and Expediter, serving as a trusted on-site resource to the customer. You will be embedded in a dynamic operational environment, enabling end users to rapidly adopt and effectivelyutilizemission-critical technologies, often with little notice and under high tempo conditions.

Working under limited supervision, you will serve on the front lines of mission execution, supporting system deployment, training users, troubleshooting issues, and always ensuring operational readiness.

WhatYou'llDo

  • Travelfrequentlybetween Tysons and Virginia Beachlocations, with heavy travel expected in the first 6 months.

  • Serve as the primary on-site technical resource, ready to issue equipment, support users, and respond to operational needs with little to no notice.

  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot communication systems, laptops, mobile kits, and supporting technologies in field environments.

  • Train end users on system setup, configuration, and operational use, including delivering ad hoc and structured training sessions.

  • Support and deliver training events ranging from small group instruction to full course delivery whenrequired.

  • Act as a technical expediter, managinglogistics, issuing equipment, tracking inventory, and ensuring systems are ready for deployment.

  • Maintain accountability of equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support lifecycle management of deployed systems.

  • Assistwith system acceptance testing andvalidateperformance against operational requirements.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues using specialized tools, escalating complex problems when necessary.

  • Interface directly with customers to support mission readiness andprovidetechnical guidance aligned to operational needs.

WhatYou'llAccomplish in the First 6 Months

  • Once hired, rapidly gainproficiencyin Ridgeline supported technologies and environments through a structured internal training pipeline.

  • Establish yourself as a trusted, go-to resource for the customer, capable of responding to operational needs with minimal supervision.

  • Support multiple training events and begin contributing to or leading user instruction.

  • Demonstrate the ability to issue, configure, and support deployed systems inreal timeoperational scenarios.

  • Build strong alignment with the customer mission set and understand how technology directly supports execution.

  • Operate effectively in ahigh tempoenvironment with little ramp time, delivering immediate value.

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • ActiveTop-Secretclearancerequiredat a minimum.

  • Prior experience supporting tactical communications, special communications, cyber, EW, SIGINT, or similar mission systems.

  • Experienceoperatingin or supportingSOFTier Oneor closely aligned mission environmentsstronglypreferred.

  • Minimum of4years of experiencein theservice, technical support, or operational support role.

  • Technical trainingis equivalentto military technical school, trade school, or hands-on operational experience.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems with minimal ramp time.

  • Ability to train and communicate technical concepts clearly to end users in operational settings.

  • Adaptable, mission-first mindset with the ability tooperatein ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

  • Learning agility, cognitive resilience, and high emotional intelligence withaprovengrowth mindset.

Nice to Haves

  • Background as a militaryCyber Warfare Technician (CWT),TIO for NSW,Cyber orSignal,Communications specialist (17,25 series, 31D, 35Q, or equivalent) with hands-on field experience supporting tactical operations.

  • Experience as a technical instructor or delivering formal training courses.

  • Background in SOFsupport, or similar high tempo operational environments.

  • Experience as a System Administrator or supporting mobile device platforms in the field.

  • Familiarity with configuring and managing commercial off-the-shelf communication tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
