Supervises patient care support staff providing interdisciplinary basic patient-care activities, such as medical assistants, technicians, nurse assistants, dental assistants (RDA), dental hygienists (RDH) etc. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in assigned clinic(s) and serves as a role model. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent combination experience / training * Minimum 3 years of experience * Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant Experience * 1 year of supervisory or lead experience. Demonstrated competency in current role can be considered in lieu of supervisory experience * Current American Heart CPR Certification * Experience in a supervisory role or leading a team. * Demonstrated skills to effectively supervise patient care support staff. Strong knowledge of practice operations. * In depth knowledge of patient support care clinical standards and care delivery, systems, external regulations, and internal policies. * Demonstrated skills of being detail oriented, with the ability to apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and apply effective solutions. * Demonstrated skills of solid interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and problem solving with all levels of management and staff. * Skills in written and verbal communications, with the ability to convey clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner. * Knowledge of business software and specialized applications and data management systems used in clinic / center patient care. * Demonstrated knowledge of lean daily management systems including huddle, dashboards, visual management, problem solving, and leader standard work. * This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center Locations Preferred Qualifications : * Working knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document human resources issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters. * Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program, with certification in phlebotomy where applicable * Lean certification License/Certification : * Current American Heart CPR Certification Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent combination experience / training * Minimum 3 years of experience * Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant Experience * 1 year of supervisory or lead experience.
