Job responsibilities include: Prepare curriculum and teach group fitness classes.

Required Qualifications
* Nationally recognized Personal Training certification
* One or more years of experience as a Certified Personal Trainer
* Working knowledge of program activity practices and procedures
* Verbal and written communication skills in English, including active listening, flexibility, critical thinking, multitasking, and time management
* Ability to exercise independent judgment and apply sound reasoning skills
* Strong client service orientation, entrepreneurial mindset, and creative thinking skills
* Ability to successfully pass FBI and DOJ criminal background checks

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Science or a related field
* Knowledge of campus policies and procedures
* Basic computer skills relevant to job duties
* Experience in rehabilitation or injury management
* Standard First Aid Training certification
* Dietary or nutritional certification

License / Certification
* Nationally Certified Adult CPR/AED certification (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or other recognized organization)

Salary Information


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
