This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, timely and responsive to the customer and patient's needs. This position is responsible for providing the cleaning and sanitation of food service areas and equipment in a safe manner. This can include duties in detailed kitchen equipment deep cleaning, thorough floor and floormat cleaning, waste sorting and removal as well as dishroom and potroom duties. This person may be required to work in warm and/or wet environments. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the department of Nutrition & Food Services. . The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentA minimum of 2 years of customer facing experience within the food service, hospitality or retail industries.Read, write, follow written or oral instructions and be understood in English. Basic computer skills. This position requires flexibilityto orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.Ability to meet physical demands involved with job duties as outlined below.
Preferred Qualifications Two years of college or equivalent.State of California Food Handler certification or Servsafe certification. About UCSF

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
