The Department of Pharmaceutical Services provides a full range of services for patients cared for by the UCSF Medical Center and its providers and payors. These services include, but are not limited to: drug procurement, storage, and security; safe, accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the Medical Center; drug information services for clinicians and patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs. The Department of Pharmaceutical Services is affiliated with the UCSF Department of Clinical Pharmacy, an academic department within the School of Pharmacy, which has primary responsibility for teaching professional courses in the Pharm. D. curriculum, clinical research, and public and clinical service.

Required Qualifications :

Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the positions.
Completion of a recognized/accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program (includes hands-on training period during externship), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Min. two (2) as Pharmacy Tech in Hospitals or Health Care or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

Preferred Qualifications :
Pharmacy Technician Certification; CPhT

License / Certification :
Yes

License/Certification :
Active Licensed Pharmacy Technician by the California Board of Pharmacy and in good standing

Salary Information


The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.


Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
