Job Summary

The Warehouse Logistics Technician I is responsible for receiving, inspecting, logging, organizing, and distributing materials in a fast-paced warehouse logistics environment. This role supports daily warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, performing cycle counts, staging materials and equipment for field or installation crews, and helping ensure materials are available when needed to support project timelines. The position also requires operating warehouse equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace aligned with 5S principles. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a physically active environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming materials, tools, and equipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify shipments for quantity, condition, and accuracy, and report damaged, missing, or mis-shipped items.
  • Organize, label, tag, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records in inventory management systems.
  • Stage, prepare, and issue materials, tools, and hardware for installation or field crews.
  • Deliver materials and equipment internally as needed to support project and operational demands.
  • Load and unload shipments using appropriate warehouse equipment and safe material-handling practices.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, material-handling carts, and other warehouse equipment as required.
  • Use barcode scanners, label printers, and tagging tools to support inventory tracking and material identification.
  • Assist with opening crates and preparing materials using basic power tools when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in alignment with 5S or Lean practices.
  • Support efficient warehouse workflows and communicate inventory issues or material shortages promptly.
  • Complete daily documentation and inventory updates using standard computer software and warehouse systems.


Job Requirements



  • Hands-on experience receiving, inspecting, and logging materials in a warehouse or construction-support environment.
  • Ability to perform accurate cycle counts and maintain inventory records in an inventory management system.
  • Experience staging, organizing, and issuing materials, tools, and hardware to field or installation teams.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Experience loading and unloading shipments and properly labeling, tagging, and storing materials.
  • Familiarity with 5S or Lean organizational practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and daily reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to track and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Prior warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Experience supporting construction, low-voltage, or field-service teams is preferred but not required.


Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Work Experience



  • Previous experience in warehouse logistics, inventory control, or material handling is required.
  • Experience in a construction-support or similar operational environment is preferred.

  • Typical start time is 7:00 AM.
  • Expected schedule is approximately 40-50 hours per week.
