Purpose of Position

Perform systems engineering tasks that include technical planning, cost and risk assessment, system integration, verification, and validation. Analyses are conducted at all system levels: requirement analysis, risk analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, design, testing, installation, integration, operation, and customer support.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Decompose and allocate customer requirements. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions under technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems, by gaining a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts relevant to new and ongoing projects.
  • Builds top level MBSE Physical and Logical Architecture models
  • Contribute to the completion of specific programs, projects, and proposals.
  • Interact frequently with technical staff and management throughout multiple departments and with outside customer contacts. Communicate effectively with teams daily about assignments and results.
  • In addition, must be a team player, able to work comfortably and effectively with team members, program stakeholders, and senior personnel using strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Travel is required for customer interfacing, technical interchange meetings, on-site technical support, and other special events.
  • Contributes to reports and apprises management of technical progress
  • Remains current on state-of-the-art technologies through review of technical papers, periodicals, and attending meetings and conferences.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or other applicable technical field.
Minimum Experience
  • 5+ years of related experience and MBSE experience highly desired.

  • Analyzing trade studies to guide product and process selection
  • Planning, integrating and directing cross-functional teams

  • Monitoring, mentoring, and training less experienced system engineers

  • Possess or have the ability to obtain, a SECRET security clearance (for Defense programs only).
