Material Handling Laborer

Kalman & Company, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Material Handling Laborer for work onsite in Fort Worth, Texas to join the Kalman & Company team. Applicants must have a willingness to follow all safety and conduct rules and comply with company policies and be eligible for a government-issued clearance. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. This position falls under the DOL's Service Contract Act (SCA).

Specific Duties:



  • Load, unload, and move materials manually or using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and storage locations.
  • Transport mask components and finished products between workstations.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and replenishment of mask-making materials.
  • Support packaging and staging of completed mask units for inspection or shipment.
  • Assemble kits by gathering and organizing required components.
  • Verify kit contents against packing lists or Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Label and stage kits for delivery to production or shipping.
  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against packing slips.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Use tracking systems to log incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Apply labels to products, containers, or pallets according to specifications.
  • Verify label accuracy and ensure compliance with customer or regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain labeling equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Transport training materials, supplies, and equipment to designated training areas.
  • Set up and break down training environments and assist instructors with logistics.
  • Collect, inventory, and return reusable training materials to storage.
  • Identify and segregate excess, obsolete, or unserviceable materials.
  • Prepare items for turn-in to DRMO, including tagging, documentation, and transport.
  • Maintain records of DRMO transactions and ensure compliance with disposal procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.


Minimum Required Education / Qualifications

Candidates MUST:



  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Be able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work on their feet for up to 8 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance with 6-month re-verification.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Education / Qualifications



  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and labeling procedures.
  • Certification or experience operating forklifts or other MHE.
  • Background in government or defense-related logistics support.
