We are investing hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across our customers.

The Clean Energy Program Manager is responsible for delivering on the Companys long-term managed charging goals to drive off-peak charging behavior among electric vehicle (EV) owners and operators of chargers in support of New York State regulatory expectations. The Program Manager works with the team to design and deliver excellence for an industry-leading program to scale up its operational scope and capabilities. This includes dayto-day operational oversight, developing and maintaining program rules, budget development and forecasting, and regulatory reporting. This role also involves developing and maintaining relationships with many stakeholders, both internal and external to Con Edison and the E-Mobility & Demonstrations department.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the program including planning, organizing, coordinating, processing, and managing resources needed to achieve goals.
  • Lead collaboration with EV departments, as well as other internal departments including Engineering, Energy Services, Customer Operations, Rate Engineering, and other external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the administrative aspects of these programs including program design, customer enrollments, budget, and timely and accurate incentive payments and reporting, and analyze and report on program performance.
  • As required, lead and manage employees and/or contractors, fostering their ongoing development and training.
  • Lead the growth of the program through innovative program design initiatives, including the establishment of a proactive, customercentric culture that promotes trust and confidence among participants.
  • Support the development of and manage software used to administer and operate the programs and oversee data management and quality control.
  • Liaise with the Department of Public Service staff and represent the Company on various New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and other committees/interest groups pertaining to electric vehicle programs.
  • Represent the Company at industry conferences and meetings with external stakeholders related to the development of managed charging programs.
  • Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations.
  • This role is currently an individual contributor position, with the potential to evolve into a people management role.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' relevant experience or
  • Master's Degree and 3 years' relevant experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree and 5 years program management experience 2 years of experience leading or supporting electrification projects, program development, and management
Relevant Work Experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing analytic tools (Microsoft excel, Power BI, Salesforce, etc.), analyzing information, both technical and financial, and making recommendations based on that information, required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and writing skills, required.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines, required.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to see the big picture as well as attention to detail, required.
  • Demonstrated agility and flexibility to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, required.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with a high degree of curiosity, combined with strong motivation, a bias for action, and a clear sense of ownership, required.
  • Ability to achieve programmatic targets, effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, and communicate persuasively in support of the programs future vision, required.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to successfully deliver on this roles key priorities, required.
  • Experience presenting to small and large audiences, preferred
  • Experience with or knowledge of load management technologies, preferred.
  • Experience working with local, county, city and state governments, preferred.
  • Experience working with the Department of Public Service staff and the preparation of regulatory filings, preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI, Salesforce, ArcGIS, or other database/data visualization tools, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
