Position Overview
The Experiential Learning Advisor for the MSMK program will work closely with the MSMK Faculty Leader to provide ongoing guidance and support to student teams working to advance actual client projects.

Job Description
Coaching & Mentoring (25%)

  • Empower student teams to take leadership and ownership of their client projects

Project Management Review & Guidance (25%)

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support, from project launch to conclusion and post-project review

Performance Feedback (25%)

  • Offer regular, actionable feedback to ensure the development of productive client relationship

Final Evaluation of Projects/Client Feedback (25%)

  • Provide input on the evaluation of projects and the assignment of course grades

Qualifications

Minimum / Essential Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree plus at least five (5) years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus at least three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of consulting experience or comparable corporate experience centered on marketing strategy, brand management, project management, general management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 8 years of relevant experience in client management and marketing consulting
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Significant success managing project teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success in dealing with senior executives, clients, and a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in training, mentoring, coaching, and developing early career professionals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation and storytelling abilities
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of early career professionals
  • Experience working with the Carlson School of Management and the University of Minnesota
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $160/hour for 4 weeks of work; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
