Job Description
Position Summary:
- The Student Services Coordinator provides high-level administrative and operational support for student services within the UMSL College of Optometry. This role focuses on coordinating signature events, developing and implementing student programming, managing student registration processes, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the student affairs office. The Coordinator works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and campus partners to enhance the student experience through efficient processes, engaging programs, and seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Student Services & Alumni Relations in the planning, coordination, and execution of signature college events, including orientation, white coat ceremony, commencement, recruitment events, and student engagement programs.
- Lead student registration processes, including course assignments, scheduling coordination, and maintaining accurate enrollment records.
- Support Student Services leadership in the design, implementation, and assessment of co-curricular student programming that supports engagement, leadership development, and professional identity formation.
- Provide advanced administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, communications, and project tracking for student affairs leadership.
- Manage logistics for events and programs, including scheduling, vendor coordination, budgeting, and day-of execution.
- Coordinate daily operations of student services, including student communications, record management, and onboarding processes.
- Support recruitment and outreach efforts through event coordination and prospective student engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and campus partners to ensure a cohesive and student-centered experience.
- Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Services & Alumni Relations and the Director of Student Services & Alumni Relations.
- Works on projects and other special duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in student affairs/higher education.
