JOB SUMMARY

The Finance Project Manager leads and manages cross-functional projects and automation initiatives, ensuring effective planning, execution and adoption for the Controller's Office.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct.

  • Serve as Scrum Master for enhancement initiatives, guiding teams through agile processes and ensuring iterative progress. Support change management assessments and ensure impacts are communicated and addressed.

  • Partner with Finance leaders to define project scope, priorities, and business outcomes.

  • Manage automation projects, strategic initiatives, and operational projects from planning through delivery.

  • Support the management of a portfolio of initiatives and projects, along with the creation and upkeep of the project roadmap.

  • Coordinates workstreams, dependencies, and timelines to ensure cohesive execution.

  • Maintain consistent verbal and written communication with stakeholders on projects, schedule expectations, barriers, and opportunities.

  • Escalate issues to Manager or Project Leadership for resolution and track until completion.

  • Assist with building, maintaining, and communicating the project roadmap/portfolio to ensure alignment with business priorities.

  • Assist with the release management activities.

  • Evaluate competing priorities, constraints, and risks to make informed decisions about scope, sequencing, and delivery approach.

  • Evaluate project risks, dependencies, and impacts, escalating issues appropriately and implementing mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of project management experience supporting system enhavcements, automation initiatives or Enterprise Resource Planning/Workday related projects.

Experience managing projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or hybrid approaches).

License/Certification: None.

KNOWLEDGE

These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education or licensure/certification.

  • Deep understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and status reporting.

  • Strong grasp of agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Scrum ceremonies.

  • Expertise in understanding of change management frameworks and how to assess organizational readiness and impact.

  • Ability to translate business needs into structured project plans, roadmaps, and actionable workstreams.

  • Skill in aligning project priorities with broader organizational and department strategies and release timelines.

  • Strong communication skills to translate technical details into clear, actionable information for stakeholders.

  • Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with cross functional partners, including HR, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and other key business areas.

  • Skilled at facilitating meetings and driving alignment.

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $53.98 to $71.57
