Job Description

This role will interact extensively with suppliers, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management to evaluate and resolve disputed claims. The Auditor will perform substantive testing of supplier claims, obtain and assess sufficient evidence to support payment recommendations, document results and findings, and clearly communicate conclusions to appropriate stakeholders and management.

The position includes onsite verification of supplier inventories, production tooling, raw materials, and other assets included in cancellation claims. The Auditor will assess claims within the context of engineering program governance, tooling approval trails, supply chain compliance requirements, and commercial pricing mechanisms to ensure claims align with contractual terms, approved program decisions, and internal controls.

This individual will also coordinate audit efforts with dealer field auditors, Corporate Leadership Development (CLD) program participants, and other crossfunctional audit and operational teams, and prepare clear, concise management reporting to support leadership decisionmaking.

Travel requirement: up to 30%, primarily within the Midwest.

  • Analyze claims considering commercial pricing mechanisms, including piece price, tooling amortization, and cost recovery structures

  • Leverage data analytics and AIenabled tools to identify anomalies, trends, and risk indicators within supplier claims data

  • Clearly communicate audit findings and recommendations to Purchasing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Audit leadership

  • Coordinate audit activities across internal and external stakeholders to support volume, complexity, and timeliness

  • Support continuous improvement of supplier claims audit methodologies, including increased use of analytics and automation
