Job Description

The Packaging New Model Project Manager is responsible for leading, organizing, and documenting all activities required to obtain timely packaging approval for new-model service parts and components. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure packaging readiness aligns with program milestones. The position supports new model program launches for serviceable components by managing launch timing, tracking deliverables, and communicating key dates, risks, and goals to the responsible packaging engineers.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Data management and tracking for packaging team responsible new model parts
  • Attending new model meetings with cross-functional groups
  • Scheduling meetings with packaging engineers, cross-functional team members, and suppliers with the goal of obtaining required packaging approvals to receive parts in time for vehicle launch
  • Report on new model launch status for the packaging team

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as: Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Communications, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in packaging, supply chain, or project management
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficiency within a Microsoft Office 365 environment (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, related tools)
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in supporting new model launch projects
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience with package engineering
