Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing and inspection operations in accordance with approved work instructions, routings, and drawings to ensure product meets quality and customer requirements.
  • Perform inprocess and final inspections using appropriate measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMMs, optical systems) and record results accurately.
  • Document, and escalate nonconforming material through established NCR processes, providing clear defect descriptions and supporting data.
  • Support root cause investigations by supplying factual data, observations, and process history to engineering and quality teams.
  • Follow control plans, inspection plans, and sampling requirements as defined; flag gaps or inconsistencies to supervision or engineering.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records in manufacturing systems (e.g., Opcenter, Oracle, inspection logs).
  • Assist with first article inspections (FAI), setup verification, and process validations under guidance from engineering or quality.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and segregation of conforming and nonconforming material on the shop floor.
  • Adhere to AS9100, safety, ESD, and cleanliness requirements at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying waste, variation, or recurring defects and suggesting practical improvements.
  • Support audits by providing records, demonstrating processes, and answering questions related to daily manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain work area organization and equipment condition to support efficient, repeatable operations (5S).
  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Supervisors to resolve daytoday production and quality issues.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 year of handson experience in Manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in process development and characterization.
  • Ability to program precision assembly equipment.
  • Experience in setting up and running DOE, Failure analysis, and performing data analysis.
  • Strong problemsolving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • Qualified to work in an ITAR facility
  • Familiarity with quality engineering
  • Familiarity with CAD Design and Layout (Preference).
