Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Shifts scheduled Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the clinic.

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant Apprentice to:
* Join the UW Health Ophthalmic Assistant Apprenticeship Program which is designed for those interested in becoming an ophthalmic assistant.
* Attend in person classes and clinicals.
* Upon successful completion of the program, you will be interviewed and may be placed in an ophthalmic assistant position within UW Health.
* Gain hands on experience in direct patient care tasks, visual acuities, processes, and procedures in an ophthalmology setting.

Education:
Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and formal acceptance into the UW Health Medical, Ophthalmology or Nursing Assistant Clinical Apprentice Program Required

Work Experience:
Minimum - 1 year of prior work experience Required
Preferred -

Certifications:
Minimum - No certification required.
Preferred - Basic Life Support / CPR
