What You Will Do:

As a Surveyor, you will play an essential role within our Engineering Services department, reporting to the Engineering Services Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
  • Determine methods and procedures for establishing or re-establishing survey controls.
  • Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed. Coordinate findings with work of engineering personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the work of survey teams.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

What You Will Bring:



  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with individuals within and outside of ENSTAR.
  • Ability to read maps, plats, aerial photographs, as-builts, and survey information.
  • Ability to operate calculator and hand tools to include chainsaw, machete, axe, hammer and shovel.
  • Knowledge of ENSTAR's distribution as-built system and engineering filing system.
  • Ability to learn and understand ENSTAR's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to operate a computer and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective interactions and communications with co-workers, customers and management.
  • Must maintain a safe environment for co-workers, customers and the public through adherence to established safety standards and timely reporting of potential hazards.
  • Must adhere to ENSTAR's policies and procedures related to the code of business ethics, compliance, responsible use of assets, and all applicable state and federal laws.
