Landfill Laborer

Shift: 7am-4:30pm Monday thru Friday / Full Time Position - $25 per Hr.

Deck Commander Duties:

• Communicates with truck scales on incoming waste streams

• Directs customers to dumping locations within the landfill

• Communicates with equipment operators on locations of material needed

• Monitors safety with our customers and employees

• Communicates safety requirements to drivers

• Must have goodattention to detailand good record-keeping practices

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to think on feet

• Must be able to work in the field in dusty conditions and potentially inclement weather, and be able to traverse a variety of terrains found on the landfill

Landfill Laborer Duties:

• Keeping the landfill clean and presentable

• Picking litter / General site clean up

• Installing litter fences, site signage

• Performing yard work including cutting weeds / mowing grass

• Running for parts with site vehicle

• Performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.

• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds

• Experience operating equipment is a plus

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift

• Mechanical abilityis a plus.
