Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Position Summary:

Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision supports a variety of HR functions, including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, employee record-keeping, and specialized HR projects.
  • Act as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
  • Collect and analyze human resources data as assigned and make recommendations for changes to management.
  • Execute human resources policies and procedures.
  • Support plant management, create reports and provide HR related data and metrics as assigned
  • Administer employee compensation, training and benefit programs.
  • Help coordinate recreation programs through contacts within company and with outside contractors. Counsel and advice employees regarding concerns about benefits, company policies and workers compensation
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
  • Interacts with managers in HR activities: Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-Year College or technical school; five to seven years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, email and phone correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Payroll systems; Internet software; Human Resource systems; Project Management software and Contact Management systems.

  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an aerospace machining environment

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $96300 to $144500 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
