Job Description

The Acquisition Marketing Lead owns the strategy, and performance optimization of customer acquisition campaigns across Direct Mail, Email, and SMS channels. This role sits at the intersection of data-driven decision-making and channel management, and is responsible for driving measurable new customer growth through disciplined targeting, testing, and continuous improvement.

Impact:

  • Own and lead the acquisition campaign strategy for Direct Mail, Email, and SMS channels, including audience segmentation, creative direction, offer prioritization, cadence planning, and performance reporting.
  • Develop and manage campaign roadmaps and testing agendas (A/B and multivariate tests) to continuously improve channel performance against key acquisition KPIs, including response rate, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Creative, Product, and Strategy teams to ensure campaigns are accurately targeted, properly fulfilled, and measured against defined goals.
  • Manage channel budgets, pacing, and forecasting, allocating spend and resourcing to maximize ROI.
  • Translate data and performance insights into actionable recommendations for leadership; present campaign results, learnings, and strategic plans to stakeholders on a regular cadence.
  • Ensure all campaigns are executed in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, TCPA) and internal brand and legal standards.
Qualifications

You will thrive in this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in performance or acquisition marketing, with direct ownership of at least two of the following channels: Direct Mail, Email, or SMS.
  • Have demonstrated experience managing campaign budgets and making independent, data-driven decisions on budget allocation and channel prioritization.
  • Are proficient with email service platforms and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Have working knowledge of Direct Mail production processes, including list management, print vendor coordination, and postal logistics.
  • Possess a solid understanding of SMS marketing compliance requirements, including TCPA regulations and opt-in/opt-out management.
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs) and CRM-driven segmentation strategies.
  • Are experienced in designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests and translating results into strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and comfort working with data and reporting tools to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex campaign data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

A plus if you have:

  • Experience in telecom, financial services, retail, insurance, or other direct response-heavy industries.
  • Experience managing external agencies or print/fulfillment vendors.
  • Exposure to digital acquisition channels (paid search, display, social) and an understanding of cross-channel attribution.

Physical Demands:

Work is primarily sedentary, performed indoors from a home or company office environment. The role requires regular use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office productivity equipment. Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, industry conferences, or internal team events (estimated up to 10% of time). Standard business hours apply, with occasional evening or weekend availability required during peak campaign periods or critical launches.
