Summary:

Responsible for the management of the UNC HealthCancer Access Center team's management of system-wide service line referral management,
scheduling workflows, patient communications, coordinationof care, and clinical integrationsupports of patient access to outpatient care and transitions of care between
inpatient and outpatient.

Responsibilities include designing and implementingSOPs, program planning, operational analysis, problem resolution, personnelmanagement and performance improvement. This position is a key operationsliaison with CASI/ISD/Cadence/Epic resources, among other shared services. Thisposition serves as an expert in scheduling, referral, and template managementto support Cancer access and clinical integration goals. Design, Oversee, andimprove systemwide workflows for Cancer service line access.

Successfully implements latest technology into daily workflows to supportpatient access. Manages staff relations including performance management, staff
satisfaction, and conflict management. Ensures high standards of patientsatisfaction, quality of service, and financial stewardship. Supports executive
leaders in garnering buy-in from staff and departments to support systeminitiatives and to enhance scheduling and referral workflows to bepatient-centered.

Responsibilities:
1. Practice Access - - Responsible for the management of and maintaining the Cancer Access principles to ensure access to services, efficiency of scheduling, and supporting patient and guided scheduling initiatives. Ensures system access policies are implemented and SOPs are updated and executed.
2. Leading People - Leads people toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Ensures that departmental goals match those of the organization and that resources are allocated to meet priorities. Establishes an environment that creates incentives for, and eliminates barriers to, a team environment. Articulates common goals and communicates how individual roles contribute to team success. Sets productivity and quality standards for and ensures accountability among staff.
3. Leading Change - Proactively assesses the need for change and obtains resources to implement change initiatives. Communicates effectively and appropriately. Takes action to ensure that employees fully understand their roles, responsibilities and performance standards/expectations and provides ongoing feedback and support. Communicates in a manner that promotes and sustains customer satisfaction and encourages others to do the same. Understands the overall financial performance of the organization and applies financial concepts and practices to establish and maintain realistic budgets. Uses financial information to monitor budgetary responsibilities.
5. Strategic Planning - Actively participates in the overall vision, mission, direction, goals and objectives of the department. Participates in the strategic planning process, establishes and achieves long range goals, and ensures the implementation of strategic business plans.

*Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, health administration, or related field.

Professional Experience Requirements:
* Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physician office or outpatient. 1 year of supervisory experience required.
