Collects data, assists patients with activities of daily living and documents actions in patient recordHow you grow, learn and thrive matters here. Responsibilities: *Transports patients and documents action on patient record. Monitors patients and collects information for documentation in patient record. Collects and records vital signs in patient record.*Insures cleanliness of nutrition areas and general unit. Cleans and stores equipment. Empties trash, linen bags and sharps containers. *Stocks medical supplies, linens and paper goods. Inventories equipment as required. Processes broken equipment as directed. Maintains equipment logs as required. *Delivers specimens to Laboratory, Microbiology and Pathology. Transports x-rays, blood and equipment. Delivers patient food trays and nourishment. *Performs basic clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, filing and copying. *Stamps and assembles patient charts. Posts laboratory and other tests results. *Uses the computerized Patient Care Information System (PACIS) at the skill level commensurate with the responsibilities included in this description. *Assists with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing and walking patients. *Administers oxygen under the direction of a licensed nurse. *Performs other functions as required. Qualifications: High school or equivalent plus formal specialized, short-term training in basic patient care (CNA, Med. Asst., Military medical training, EMT-B, NA, HHA, Nursing student who has completed a skills lab) or at least 6 months experience in direct patient care required. Receives on-the-job training and successfully completes competency verification to perform primary functions within 6 weeks of date of hire.We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
