Job Title: Project Manager I (HR Technology - CRM Implementation)
Location: Waukegan Road, North Chicago, IL 60064 (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Role Objective:
We are looking for a highly organized Project Manager to drive the Talent Acquisition (TA) workstream for a global Phenom CRM implementation. This is a high-visibility, functional coordination role acting as the bridge between the TA business unit, IT (BTS), Data Analytics, and external vendors. You will ensure that TA requirements are captured, milestones are met, and the system is ready for a successful go-live.
Key Responsibilities:
- TA Readiness & Planning: Develop and manage internal project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures specifically for TA deliverables.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary "voice of TA" in implementation meetings; capture feedback from recruiters and leadership and translate them into actionable functional requirements.
- Vendor & Partner Coordination: Serve as the functional point of contact for Phenom and other implementation partners to ensure alignment with TA goals.
- Testing & UAT Oversight: Orchestrate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), manage defect triage, and coordinate with testers to ensure the platform is "recruiter-ready."
- Change Management Support: Document current vs. future state processes; assist in creating training resources and communication plans to ensure high user adoption.
- Execution & Reporting: Provide clear, executive-level status updates. Proactively identify risks and dependencies between TA and the broader technical project team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of Project Management or Project Coordination experience, specifically delivering enterprise-level technology implementations.
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience supporting Talent Acquisition, HR Tech, or CRM/ATS platforms.
- Execution Focus: Proven ability to track complex tasks and milestones across multiple workstreams without constant oversight.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment.
- Education: BA/BS Degree in HR, IT, Business, or a related field.
Top Technical & Functional Skills (Preferred)
- CRM/ATS Expertise: Hands-on experience with Phenom CRM is a significant plus. Familiarity with Workday or SmartRecruiters integrations is highly valued.
- System Implementation: Experience in business-to-technical requirement translation (Functional Coordination).
- Process Mapping: Ability to document TA workflows and support change management initiatives.
- Certifications: PMP, Agile/Scrum, or Change Management certifications are a plus but not mandatory.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- Not a Technical Lead: You don't need to configure APIs, but you must be able to speak "recruitment" to the business and "deliverables" to the technical team.
- Not a Business Analyst: The focus is on moving the needle and coordination, not just deep documentation or data analysis.
- Independent Driver: You can take a high-level project goal and break it down into daily tasks for the TA team to ensure a 6-9 month delivery window is met.
Flexibility: We are open to "Senior" candidates if they are comfortable being hands-on with coordination, as well as high-potential "Junior" PMs who can operate independently.
