As a Security Officer Entry Control in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure environment through visible presence and strong communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and security-related policies at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by communicating with site contacts, documenting details, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Help to deter disruptions by maintaining a visible presence at assigned access points, observing facility activity, and reporting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
