Job Summary Responsible for the promotion of optimal trauma care, data collection and injury prevention through the coordination of clinical activities, professional and public education, performance improvement and some administrative functions. Collaborates with medical staff, patients/family and the Healthcare team by assessing, facilitating, planning and advocating for health needs in selected trauma patients. Establishes goals and priorities consistent with the mission and goals of Rapid City Hospital as well as meets requirements of the Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting bodies.Monument Health offers competitive wages and benefits on qualifying positions. Additional Requirements Required: Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing Certification - Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Preferred: Education - Bachelors Nursing Certification - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Physical Requirements:Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
