Job Description Job Purpose We are looking to hire a Desktop Support Engineer to provide fast and effective support for computer hardware and software issues. You will be required to work on-site or via remote connection and assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and troubleshoot basic IT-related issues. To ensure success, you should have extensive knowledge of current operating systems and applications, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. Essential Functions Provide remote and on-site support for one or more locations as needed Responding to end user support requests and escalations from the Helpdesk via tickets Hardware installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting Installing Windows software, patches, updates, and 3rd party applications Knowledge of desktop encryption Workstation deployments Workstation image creation, troubleshooting, deployment and management Providing basic guidance in computer operation and management for end users Printer support and troubleshooting Special projects and report creation as required. Experience 2 to 3 years of IT experience Education Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology preferred. Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate preferred A+ Certification preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals Knowledge of SCCM and other popular organizations endpoint support systems (such as Automox, Ivanti, Manage Engine) -- used for imaging, software updates, reporting, remediation, software applications, and remote connection systems Azure - Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID/AD Intune - Create, configure, deploy application / packages Knowledge of PowerShell, scripting, Grouo Policy and Active Directory Experience with Dell and HP computer hardware Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems and domain environments Experience with mobile devices (IOS, Android, Windows) Ability to independently research, troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and software issues Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision Ability to travel and work after hours support/On-Call when necessary Excellent interpersonal skills Good written and oral communication skills required to communicate action items taken to resolve IT-related issues to end-users in terms easily understood Ability to lift 50 pounds HDL is required - Ability to drive company vehicles to provide remote and on-site support for one or more locations as needed Onsite M-F, 8am-5pm, no remote work Supervisory Responsibility No Supervisory Responsibility Salary Range - $55k-$77k
