We're Hitachi Vantara, the data foundation trusted by the world's innovators. Our resilient, high-performance data infrastructure means that customers - from banks to theme parks - can focus on achieving the incredible with data.

If you've seen the Las Vegas Sphere, you've seen just one example of how we empower businesses to automate, optimize, innovate - and wow their customers. Right now, we're laying the foundation for our next wave of growth. We're looking for people who love being part of a diverse, global team - and who get excited about making a real-world impact with data.

What You'll Be Doing

You will support the operations of a cross-functional Project Management Office (PMO) within a large, multi-functional organization. This role coordinates across multiple teams in a matrix environment, driving project visibility, executive reporting, and cross-functional program support.

The ideal candidate thrives in environments where they drive accountability through influence rather than direct authority, and is comfortable building systems and processes in an organization that is actively evolving.

Key Responsibilities

  • PMO Operations: Run day-to-day project portfolio mechanics - project intake, status tracking, milestone management, blocker identification, and dashboard maintenance across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Dashboard & Reporting: Build and maintain project dashboards and executive status reports using tools such as Jira/JSM and SharePoint. Prepare clear, concise rollups for senior leadership audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple functional teams to ensure project visibility, follow up on status updates, and escalate blockers when needed.
  • Operating Cadence Support: Support the preparation and execution of business reviews - including agenda preparation, data aggregation from multiple systems, pre-read coordination, action item tracking, and follow-through.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Search, retrieve, and analyze data from multiple sources to produce insights and recommendations that support leadership decision-making.
  • SharePoint & Content Management: Build and maintain SharePoint pages and portals as a central information hub for the organization - including document repositories, project portals, and team home pages.
  • Process Improvement: Support initiatives to streamline, standardize, and systematize cross-functional processes. Identify opportunities to automate recurring workflows and reduce manual overhead.

What You Will Bring to the Team

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, or PMO operations.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a matrix or cross-functional environment - coordinating across teams that do not report to you.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and/or Jira Service Management (JSM) - including configuring dashboards, workflows, and project tracking.
  • Experience building dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership.
  • SharePoint experience - building pages, document libraries, and portals.
  • Strong data aggregation and analysis skills - ability to pull data from multiple systems, synthesize, and present actionable insights.
  • Experience working with or embedded within engineering or technical teams. Comfort with technical vocabulary and engineering workflows.
  • Excellent written communication - ability to write concise, clear reports for executive audiences.
  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity - able to build structure in evolving environments.

Preferred

  • Experience in the enterprise IT infrastructure, data storage, or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with product launch (NPI) and go-to-market (GTM) processes.
  • Experience with Confluence, Salesforce, or other enterprise collaboration and CRM tools.
  • Experience supporting business review cadences including agenda design, pre-read preparation, and action tracking.
  • Background in process improvement, lean operations, or operational excellence.

As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $125K to $145K Expected on-target earnings: $140K to $165K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
