About the Sabeti Lab The Sabeti Lab at Harvard University and the Broad Institute develops and uses cutting-edge experimental techniques to study pathogen evolution, diagnosis and prevention of infectious disease. We are developing CRISPR based technologies, including those to diagnose infectious diseases, with the aim of creating a rapid development platform for both highly multiplexed (CARMEN) and widely deployable (SHINE) viral diagnostics. We seek a highly motivated individual to work closely with researchers in the Diagnostics Team of the Sabeti Lab at The Broad Institute. The ability to communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and a strong desire to contribute to translational research is required. The applicant will help to develop PCR and CRISPR-based diagnostic assays and expand upon these technologies to work as front-line surveillance tools targeting multiple pathogens in various West African countries. The position offers an excellent opportunity to participate in a dynamic research environment in an exciting fast-paced field of research. This position will allow for professional advancement, skill development, and authorship on high-impact publications. The expected base pay range for this position as listed above is based on a 40 hour per week schedule. Broad provides pay ranges representing its reasonable and good faith estimate of what the organization reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, qualifications, and other factors permissible by law.
