THE PERSON:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze system levelrequirements for China-based customers,doingfeasibility analyses and translatethem into technical requirements for AMD Instinct rack scale products.
• Ability totranslatedata centerbusinessandusage models into a set ofsystem hardware features andrequirements.
• Shapethe overall technical direction of our AI solutionsthrough customer insights gatheredduring concept and pre-salestimeframe.
• Provide architectural guidance and support to internal systems design teamsto developreference designs.
• Develop and drive design review processes of ourcustomer'splatform designs and flag areas that could bemodifiedto improve quality, performance, or other areas key to their competitiveness.
• Provide strategic oversight for our AMD participation in industry consortiums, driving forward key AI initiatives.
• Drive future product architecture influence,leveraginginsights from deep customer execution engagements.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in server platformhardware design with a specialized focus onnetworking andstorage.
• Experience in data center and rack level network designs (scale-up, scale-out, front-end and management networks) and storage solutions to meet AI and cloud service user SLAs.Knowledge ofswitching architectures, backend fabric designs, data center networking and network and storage provisioning/issues/triage/resolution is highly desirable.
• Experience translating user/service SLAs intoCompute,Memory andStorage capacity needs andworkingwith customers to influence available hardware/supplierselectiontooptimizesystem performance, availability, and cost vectors.
• Familiarity witha variety ofNICs and switches,their associatedform factors,key suppliers,protocols,datacenter network architecture, networkingand storage industry standards.
• Familiarity within-server and networked storage solutions, along with a deep understanding ofsystem requirements that thesedifferent storage solutions drive.
• A track recordof working closely with customers, engaging in dialogue to understand theirneedsand aligning our product development accordingly.
• Experience working with ODMs & OEMs and MDCs in delivering complex solutions at scale.
• History of influencing architectural direction through product execution learnings.
• Businesslevel fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required, as this role primarily interfaces with customers based in China

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
