Responsibilities
Position Summary The Nurse Educator/Resource Nurse is a registered nurse who serves as a primary clinical educator and onunit nursing resource for psychiatric nursing staff. This role is primarily focused on training, education, and staff development, delivered through classroombased instruction and realtime, onunit coaching to support safe, therapeutic, and evidencebased care. The position reports directly to Nursing Leadership, with a dottedline relationship to Human Resources to support clinical onboarding, mandatory trainings, annual education requirements, and semiannual Skills Fair education planning. To ensure required nursing education is accessible across all shifts, the Nurse Educator/Resource Nurse may occasionally adjust work hours to meet operational needs related to mandatory training delivery, in accordance with nonexempt scheduling practices. In addition to education responsibilities, the Nurse Educator/Resource Nurse functions as a handson clinical resource when needed, providing onunit support to promote patient safety, staff confidence, and effective unit operations. This role supports regulatory compliance and quality of care through education, coaching, and modeling of best practices and does not include direct supervisory or disciplinary authority. Required
