Position Responsibilities

Strategic Commercial Business Partnership

  • Serve as the dedicated senior finance partner to the CRO, providing financial guidance on revenue strategy, resource allocation, and GTM cost structure
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing leadership on annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and ad-hoc strategic decisions
  • Develop and maintain financial models covering ARR growth, bookings, churn, NRR, and GTM cost efficiency - providing a clear, integrated view of revenue economics
  • Provide financial support for new CRO-led initiatives including go-to-market coverage model design
Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual planning and quarterly re-forecasting process for all GTM functions, including Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing
  • Build integrated GTM cost models connecting headcount, productivity assumptions, quota capacity, and compensation expense
  • Provide monthly variance analysis and forward-looking business commentary for GTM cost centers
  • Partner with Corporate FP&A on consolidation of GTM financials into company-wide planning cycles
Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management
  • Oversee preparation of GTM financial reporting and KPI dashboards for executive leadership and board packages
  • Define and track leading and lagging indicators across the revenue funnel - pipeline coverage, bookings attainment, rep productivity, NRR, and customer acquisition cost
  • Build and maintain scalable reporting infrastructure in partnership with the BI team, leveraging tools such as Adaptive Insights and Power BI
  • Deliver insightful, narrative-driven financial presentations that translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of finance professionals across the US and Philippines, including the newly integrated Sales Compensation team
  • Foster a high-performance culture with a strong orientation toward accuracy, curiosity, and business impact
  • Drive continuous process improvement and automation within GTM FP&A and compensation workflows
  • Support the FP&A team's broader AI and automation priorities, identifying opportunities to apply technology to improve the team's efficiency and output quality

Qualifications


  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior-level business partner to Sales, CRO, or Revenue leadership in a SaaS or recurring revenue environment
  • Prior ownership of or significant exposure to sales compensation plan design, quota setting, and commission operations strongly preferred
  • Experience managing geographically distributed teams (US and international) preferred
Domain Expertise
  • Strong command of GTM financial metrics: ARR, NRR, LTV, CAC, pipeline coverage, bookings attainment, quota capacity
  • Proficiency in sales compensation mechanics including OTE design, accelerators, SPIFs, territory modeling, and commission accounting
  • Familiarity with SaaS unit economics and revenue recognition concepts
Skills & Capabilities
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to build sophisticated multi-scenario models from the ground up
  • Strong financial storytelling: ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable narratives for executive audiences
  • Highly collaborative - effective at navigating cross-functional relationships across Finance, Sales, HR, and Operations
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams simultaneously
Tools
  • Proficiency with Adaptive Insights (or equivalent planning tool), Salesforce, and Excel required
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI/visualization tools preferred
  • Familiarity with compensation management platforms (Varicent) a plus
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required
  • MBA or CPA preferred

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $134,000.00-$225,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
