Python Full Stack Developer - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Full Stack Developer for a Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity.

Summary:
This role involves developing highly scalable, ground-up applications using Core Python and modern web frameworks within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on experience with SQL, Azure Databricks, and system design, contributing to projects within the financial risk management domain.

Responsibilities:

• Develop highly scalable applications in Core Python
• Utilize hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Work with SQL to run various data analytics tasks and queries
• Demonstrate strong system design skills, including the rationalization of architecture and articulation of technical concepts

Requirements:

• 8+ years of prior experience as a developer in the required technologies
• Very strong Python and SQL foundational knowledge, with experience building applications from the ground up
• Exposure to JavaScript technologies, preferably React
• Exposure to the Azure Databricks environment (PySpark, notebooks, integrate repos, job workflows, delta lake, unity catalog, etc.)
• Exposure to the broader Azure environment and various interconnected Azure components (Functions, App Service, Containers, etc.)
• Experience with version control using GitHub, Git, or Azure DevOps
• Current hands-on coding experience (not in a support, QA, or team lead focused role)

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of the Financial domain, mainly Risk management
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark
• Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with visualization tools like Power BI and integration with REST APIs

Pay rate: up to $73.80 per hour
