Medical Lab Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs, calculates and reports selected routine laboratory tests and helps maintain equipment. Recognizes abnormal results and instrument or quality control problems. Notifies supervisor and follows preset strategies to recheck these findings.

EDUCATION:

Minimum education is an associate degree in an appropriate science field and medical laboratory certification or eligible.

CERTIFICATION: Technical certification by an appropriate laboratory agency within one year of hire date into position.
