What You'll Do

    Safety is E2 Optics' number one Core Value. All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures
  • Establish and lead a standardized logistics program across all hyperscale sites, ensuring alignment with client expectations (Meta and future hyperscalers).
  • Develop and implement scalable logistics strategies to support multi-region, multi-client growth.
  • Provide leadership and accountability for Regional Logistics Managers, ensuring consistency in execution, reporting, and performance.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, urgency, and operational excellence across all logistics functions.
  • Establish logistics as a critical path function that directly supports project execution and schedule certainty.
  • Own full lifecycle management of all materials including:
    • Forecasting and coordination with procurement
    • Delivery scheduling and vendor coordination
    • Site receipt, verification, and documentation
    • Storage, organization, staging, and distribution
  • Ensure all received materials are:
    • Verified against purchase orders and transmittals
    • Inspected upon receipt for damage or discrepancies
    • Documented with signed packing slips and condition verification
  • Implement and enforce standardized processes for:
    • Material tracking and real-time visibility
    • Transmittals and delivery documentation
    • Chain of custody and material accountability
    • Align material readiness with project schedules to ensure installation teams are never delayed due to material constraints.
  • Eliminate inefficiencies such as:
    • Lost or unaccounted materials
    • Misaligned deliveries
    • Excess handling or improper storage
  • Own the end-to-end process for damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials, including identification, documentation, and resolution.
  • Lead and manage all RMA (Return Material Authorization) processes, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to project schedules.
  • Establish standardized processes for:
    • Damage reporting (photos, documentation, packing slips, transmittals)
    • Vendor notification and escalation
    • RMA tracking through closure
  • Act as the primary liaison with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors to:
    • Expedite replacements or credits
    • Resolve warranty and quality issues
    • Escalate critical path material delays
  • Evaluate and coordinate material substitutions when required by:
    • Partnering with engineering, QA, and field teams to validate alternatives
    • Ensuring compliance with client specifications and standards
    • Providing risk assessments and recommendations
  • Communicate proactively with clients, field teams, and leadership on:
    • Material issues and impacts
    • Replacement timelines
    • Approved substitutions and execution plans
    • Track and report on:
    • RMA cycle times and resolution timelines
    • Material damage trends by vendor and site
    • Substitution impacts to schedule and cost
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying root causes of material damage or failure and implementing preventative measures.
  • Define and enforce clear roles and responsibilities for:
    • Site Logistics Leads
    • Logistics Coordinators
    • Material Handlers
  • Ensure all sites maintain:
    • Organized, labeled, and auditable material storage areas
    • Clean, safe, and efficient logistics workflows
    • Accurate and up-to-date inventory records
  • Standardize expectations for:
    • Material receiving processes
    • Staging and kitting strategies
    • Delivery-to-install workflows
  • Conduct regular site audits to ensure compliance with logistics standards and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain centralized tracking systems for:
    • Material status (ordered, in transit, received, installed)
    • Delivery schedules and constraints
    • Inventory levels by site and region
  • Ensure consistent use of tracking tools (Smartsheet, Excel, ACC, or similar platforms).
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership and clients on:
    • Material readiness and risks
    • Delivery performance
    • Inventory accuracy and variances
  • Utilize data to drive:
    • Vendor accountability
    • Procurement improvements
    • Reduced material loss and delays
  • Oversee relationships with delivery vendors, freight providers, distributors, and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate and implement regional warehouse strategies to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Ensure vendors meet expectations for:
    • On-time delivery
    • Documentation accuracy
    • Product quality and damage prevention
  • Support contract negotiations focused on cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Partner with:
    • Operations & Field Execution Teams
    • Procurement & Supply Chain
    • Project Controls & Scheduling
    • Quality & Safety Teams
  • Ensure logistics is fully integrated into:
    • Project schedules and sequencing
    • Installation readiness planning
    • Risk identification and mitigation efforts
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing logistics teams across all regions.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Regional Logistics Managers and site-level teams.
  • Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability structures.
  • Support development of future leaders and succession planning for Logistics Director-level roles.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and teamwork.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with:
    • E2 Optics safety standards
    • Client-specific safety requirements
    • Promote safe material handling, storage, and transportation practices.
  • Travel: Travel required to support site operations and program alignment.
    • Percentage of Time: 20% - 50%


What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent experience
  • OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in logistics management, ideally within hyperscale data center settings
  • Proficient leadership capabilities, adept at fostering and guiding top-tier teams
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal proficiencies
  • Track record in warehouse site selection and vendor oversight
  • Well-versed in industry standards and forthcoming logistics trends
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and collaborative skills
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
