Job Summary Operates several types of construction equipment, such as loaders, excavators, rollers, scrapers, or motor graders, to excavate, move, grade, and pour concrete or other hard surface construction materials. Main Responsibilities Responsible for operating heavy equipment. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. Perform pre and post equipment inspections in accordance with policies. Responsible for maintaining equipment based upon manufacturer requirements and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Worker must be able to: Practice good safety habits Must be proficient with the operation of the equipment in relationship to dispatch request Work in dusty or dirty surroundings Meet set standards Judge distances and slopes accurately Make decisions based on verifiable standards Physical Requirements Worker must be able to: Stoop, bend, and crouch Use hands, arms, and legs fully See well (naturally or with correction) Lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
