PennAero is hiring an Information Technology Intern at our Weldmac Manufacturing location in El Cajon, CA. Weldmac Manufacturing delivers complex formed and welded metal assemblies for aerospace, defense, space launch, and power-generation applications. Job Overview
Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to
personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical
assistance and training to system users. Answers client's inquiries concerning
systems operation; diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems;
and recommends performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge
of system operation. Inspect computer equipment and prepare Windows 11
computers for use. Installs or assists service personnel in installation of
hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards/mice, printers
on user's premises, following design or installation specifications. Loads
specified software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, or
spreadsheet programs into computers. Instructs users in use of equipment,
software, and manuals.

Job Responsibilities/Include but not limited to
Manage user support within an online Help Desk system.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot electronic devices such as computer systems and related peripherals, mobile devices, and accessories.
Maintain up to date records on our online equipment inventory management application.
Perform troubleshooting on general use software packages such as MS Office products, Adobe.
Perform additions and changes on Avaya phone system.
Support onsite and offsite users in all areas of technology including hardware, software, mobile phones, printers, copiers, remote access, RDP, MFA authentication, and VPN access.
Vulnerability and penetration fixes and remediation on a quarterly basis.
Monthly patch management deployment and remediation of end user devices.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days a week at the El Cajon, CA location.


Qualifications

Job
Qualifications/Requirements:

Must have excellent working knowledge of
personal computers and peripherals, and general office productivity software
Working towards completing an associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
Working knowledge of Active Directory to add, modify, and delete users and groups, and join computers to the domain.
Good problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Openness to learning new technologies.
Ability to work after hours and on weekends when required.
Basic knowledge of LAN networking.
Ability to document troubleshoot work resolution.

Working Conditions:
Intermittent exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.
Intermittent exposure to moderate noise.
Exposure to hazardous chemical environment.
Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
Must be able to support a 24/7 operation.
Some travel may be required.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on an intermittent basis.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis.
Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials.
Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
Must be able to wear all the required Personal Protective Equipment.

This role involves access to technical data and/or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws
and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export
Administration Regulations (EAR). In order to comply with these laws, employment is contingent
upon verifying your status as a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15, or obtaining any
required government authorization.

Compensation

In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
