POSITION SUMMARY:


Provides spiritual guidance and support to in-house patients. Provides pastoral ministry; performs or arranges for religious services to meet the needs of patients and their families. Provides assistance to contracted staff and visiting clergy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:



  • Provide spiritual care and counseling to individuals and groups
  • Conduct religious services, ceremonies, and rites according to faith traditions
  • Offer emotional support and guidance in times of crisis or grief
  • Facilitate religious education programs and study groups
  • Develop and implement spiritual care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care
  • Visit patients, inmates, or service members in their respective settings
  • Maintain confidential records of spiritual care interactions
  • Advise on ethical and moral issues within the institution
  • Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions
  • Provide support to families during illness, trauma, or loss
  • Ensure all religious practices and services comply with organizational policies and procedures




EDUCATION


Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity, Religious Studies, or a related field



EXPERIENCE


Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in pastoral care or chaplaincy



KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


*Requires knowledge of counseling and clinical pastoral care, including training in human development and behavior, spirituality and religious practices common to the community, generally acquired through the completion of a Master's degree in Divinity or Theology.Endorsement by a recognized religious body or authority preferred. Requires advanced interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with various healthcare professionals, agencies, patients and members of the clergy.Bilingual ability is a big plus.

Compensation Range:

$29.73- $39.23

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
