We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountantto support accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. This role partners closely with operations to improve efficiency and profitability while ensuring accurate financial results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and variance analysis Support budgeting and forecasting activities Manage inventory tracking and related reconciliations Perform daily bank reconciliations Assist with month-end close and audits Prepare weekly and monthly management reports Maintain accounting procedures, records, and property logs Provide backup support for accounts payable Handle full-cycle accounting for multiple entities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2+ years of accounting experience Advanced Excel, NetSuite is a plus Solid understanding of accounting principles Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills Salary expectations: $65-70K* Candidates must live commutable to Birmingham, AL at least once a week on a regular basis and be available to come in for any ad hoc requests/meetings Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
