Job Description

Summary:

This technical position serves the claims operation in a variety of capacities, most of which are carried out through specialized, technical expertise. Primary functions of this role are comprised of technical audits and quality assurance to maintain claims guidelines, consistent processes, level of quality, etc. of internal field staff, external Independent Adjusters. This role may also perform estimate reviews and/or do full re-inspections. In other cases, these jobs may be responsible for the acquisition & sale of claims total loss items. Other key functions of the technical role may include technical and detailed processing and efficient handling of salvage vehicles and property for maximum recovery.

Employees in this role are required to accurately record all hours worked and submit timesheets in accordance with company policy. Overtime may be assigned as business needs dictate, and employees are expected to work overtime when required.

This is a 100% in-office position. Candidates must be able to work on-site at a designated company office during standard business hours.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Writes estimates and supplements, from photos.

  • Reviews and analyzes estimates, supplements and subrogation demand packets, application of appropriate betterment, identification of prior damage.

  • Completes total loss documents as well as validates total loss evaluation accuracy.

  • Negotiates changes to estimates, supplements, and total loss evaluations, as needed.

  • Maintains a high level of professional communication and quality of service to customers through monitoring and efficiently handling work queues in claims and estimating systems. Follow up as needed through systems, phone, etc. to resolve customer needs or assist with inquiries.

  • Utilizes claims and estimating systems daily.

  • Obtains and maintains required licenses.

  • Obtains resolution of disputed damages, estimates, or supplements from all methods of inspection.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 2 year of claims or related technical experience.

  • Specialized area of experience preferred, such as auto/salvage, property or construction background, claims field experience (depends on claims unit and area of focus).

  • Must be able to maintain CE requirements.

  • Completion of applicable courses such as advanced estimating, claims adjusting, PLRB, etc.

  • Completion of appropriate training such as vendor, system application, etc. to ensure quality claim handling.

Salary range is $34680 - $55896
