Encova Insurance has an opening for a Product Manager, IT Delivery. While the preferred candidate will reside within the greater Columbus, Ohio area, we are open to well qualified candidates who reside within our payroll footprint as seen on our careers page. This role will report to Director, Technology & Product Delivery.

The Product Manager - IT Delivery serves as the primary IT delivery lead for one or more product teams, acting as the central point of coordination between business Product Owners and technical teams. This role is accountable for product roadmap execution, Agile delivery effectiveness, and stakeholder alignment.The Product Manager provides servant leadership, coaches Agile practices, and has direct people leadership responsibility for Business Analysts and Quality Analysts, ensuring delivery of highquality solutions aligned with business value and enterprise standards.

Essential Functions

Product & Agile Leadership

  • Owns daytoday delivery execution for assigned products and initiatives.

  • Facilitates all Scrum ceremonies and ensures effective Agile practices.

  • Partners with Product Owners to refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog.

  • Identifies and removes delivery impediments and manages dependencies.

People Leadership

  • Directly manages Business Analysts and Quality Analysts.

  • Conducts oneonone meetings, performance evaluations, goal setting, and development planning.

  • Supports hiring, onboarding, training, and skill development.

  • Addresses performance, engagement, and behavioral issues consistently and constructively.

  • Partners with consulting firms to direct daytoday contractor activities, manage deliverables, and provide ongoing performance feedback to ensure alignment with product goals.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serves as IT representative in business and crossfunctional stakeholder meetings.

  • Communicates delivery progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and proactively.

  • Aligns delivery execution with business priorities and enterprise initiatives.

SDLC, Quality & Incident Management

  • Ensures adherence to Encova's SDLC, QA, and Incident Management standards.

  • Mentors team members on requirements and test case best practices.

  • Collaborates with QA leadership to ensure consistent testing rigor.

Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 8 - 10 years of IT or insurance experience

  • 3 - 5 years of Leadership experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, product/project management, BA, QA, or Scrum roles

  • Demonstrated people leadership experience

  • Strong Agile, SDLC, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

  • Insurance industry experience

  • CSM, PSM, CBAP, ISTQB, or similar certifications
